Wish Lists
Your generosity is what allows the Network to care for and support the individuals who are homeless in Yakima County. Financial gifts as well as material goods are both very much appreciated.
If you are curious as to how you can best help with a material good, review the following list from various Network members. By giving items from this list, you ensure that you donation addresses the immediate needs of our community.
Homeless Network
This Year's Point in Time Survey and Project Homeless Connect needs items to distribute to families and individuals who are homeless in Yakima County on the day of the event. If you would like to donate, please contact Tim Sullivan at 509-574-1520. Needed items include the following:
Yakima Neighborhood Health Services
Yakima Neighborhood Health Services targets health services for homeless families and individuals in Yakima. Donations are accepted at the Front Desk – for more information contact them at 509-454-4143 or visit them on the Web at http://www.ynhs.org.
They are in need of the following to assist them in servicing the individuals and families who are homeless in our community:
Blankets and Sleeping Bags
Jackets, Socks, Gloves, Hats and Scarves
Duffle Bags and Backpacks
Non-perishable Food items
Hygiene Items
Bottled Water
Flashlights and Batteries
Can Openers
Rod's House
Rod's House is the newest addition to local wrap-around services for people who are homeless and the only facility exclusively for homeless youth. Donations are accepted Monday - Friday. Receipts are available upon request. 509-895-2665.
New underwear, boxers and socks (all sizes, larger sizes appreciated)
Winter coats and extreme weather sleeping bags
New or like-new clothing, shoes and coats designed for teens (all sizes, larger sizes appreciated)
Full-size personal hygiene items (unopened) such as deodorant, shaving cream, feminine hygiene products, toilet paper, high-quality disposable razors, hair styling products, hand sanitizer, etc.
New white towels, wash cloths and hand towels
Laundry soap and garbage sacks
Household items, such as disinfecting wipes, paper napkins, paper or plastic cups, disposable utensils, disposable plates and light bulbs
Office items like printer paper and ink cartridges (HP Q2612A 12A)
Bus passes for Community Transit are always helpful
Monetary donations to support utilities, insurance, staffing, basic groceries, etc.
Gift cards for groceries are also much appreciated.
Triumph Treatment Services
Triumph Treatment Services (TTS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families and individuals overcome chemical dependency and regain and maintain control of their lives. Below is a list of items regularly needed for their Hygiene Center. A variety of donations are also needed for other programs run by TTS. If you would like to make a donation, please call 509-248-1800 and ask for Frank Bly or T. J. Mattingly.
Sunrise Outreach
Sunrise Outreach Center is a Christian humanitarian non-profit located in Yakima, Washington. Our purpose is to meet people where they are with the love of Christ and build on what they have. We at Sunrise Outreach are committed to applying best practice solutions for hunger, homelessness and apathy through community mobilization, neighborhood involvement and networked information exchange.
Feminine Hygiene Products (desperate need: homeless women are coming in with a great need for these products)

A laptop computer (for our shelter scheduler to be mobile)
